I keep getting the following screen warning that the batteries in my remote need changing. They don't, both batteries are new & pushing out 1.57v. I have left them out of the remote overnight to see if that would reboot the remote in some way - no difference.
Is there a secret 'menu' on the remote to kill this error, or is it time to toss the remote in the bin and get a new one?

Problem solved. Threw remote in bin, and picked up a £3 replacement in a local charity shop in their, 'lost remote' box! All good...

Re: Sky remote failed battery warning...
Have you tried new batteries - perhaps from a different batch? They're cheaper than a new remote! The nominal battery voltage is a bit misleading. Better to check the output voltage when the batteries are under load.

Re: Sky remote failed battery warning...
I should have said, yes, a box reboot made no difference, and even though I've been testing batteries for many decades with a trusty multimeter, yes, I did try some new Duracells as well as Panasonic, all measured in excess of 1.5v, both gave same screen fault message...
