New Sky +HD remote doesn’t let me change sound

I have a Sky+HD BOX, but the remote was getting a bit battered so bought a new one.... after 3 tries it works ....... except I cannot use it to turn up or turn down the sound which seems a bit odd as it is exactly the same as the old one

Yes I have done that and everything else works except the sound , as I explained before
