Turning that setting off my downloads kicked straight in and downloaded in seconds , I get 944mbs

That was on my router settings via the app that it uses

I have no idea lol. It's a Talk Talk Fibre something or other but that's all I know

If you have , go into app 

on Home Screen hit advanced security then go to network controls then toggle advanced security off

Someone in your household must have it as the router setup is done via the app

We just plugged it in to the wall and it worked. I think Sky are working on it, so I'll just wait and see what happens. Thanks a lot for your help though

Haven't got a clue what you're talking about,

have no idea what a TTs DNS server is nor any of the other jargon!
All I need to know is have I got a problem with the Sky+HD box or not

There is a problem downloading Sky have confirmed  it is at their end and they hope to have it sorted in 48 hours. As everything was fine with my settings until yesterday I am going to wait rather than make changes I do not understand or have to reverse.
