Two recent attempts to record cricket matches starting at 6.00 am have failed. The first recorded just 13 minutes and the second 31 minutes. Both were for live programmes that continued for several hours as was scheduled. Both recordings appeared to finish as the actual play was starting having captured the pre match punditry. There was no suggestion that there was anything other than a single programme and no channel switch.

A Sky 'day' has always started at 6am especially for Sport. Any ongoing live sport that bridges 6am, in effect, start again.
Looking at the EPG for tomorrow morning, live cricket starts at 5.50am but then a separate programme starts at 6am. That's the one you need to set to record.

No, both show as if recorded for the full programme.

Thanks, this does sound logical. I can see this is very clear in the schedule for tomorrow but was convinced I had double checked what I was recording and that both started at 6.00. I will try again tomorrow, hopefully it will just turn out to have been user error.
Thanks
