Got a letter from Sky saying will no longer support HD+ boxes 4 weeks ago and offering SkyQ. Mysteriously my two additional boxes have both stopped working this evening. Main box remains live (for now). Anyone else had similar?

Any such occurrence is coincidental: Sky stopped releasing updates for that platform several years ago, but hasn't removed existing functionality.

Sky hasn't supported Sky+ boxes for years as there has been no software updates for them during this time as they want everyone off them and onto at least Sky Q.

They just stayed on orange glow after an attempt to start up. Both multi room at same time. I found a fix on here so have got them back, for now. Q doesn't work due to WiFi in our property being unstable. We had it but Sky took it out due to problems.
