Scorched chip on viewing card
Hello,
- Has anyone else had a sky viewing card that's become scorched around the chip itself? we need to periodically switch off and restart the sky plus box before it works, but the card seems to still work fine. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else who has a sky box.

Re: Scorched chip on viewing card
It's very common. The brown marks around the gold chip aren't burn marks, but discolouration of the adhesive that binds the two parts of the card together. It's very unlikely to affect the performance of the card.

Okay, thanks for the reply,
That's less of a worry, I thought the sky box was a fire hazard.
