SKY+ Network settings for CAT5 / Ethernet connection to BT Hub
Just taken delivery of a new BT hub (after the previos one failed after 10 years) and while everything is connected as before the SKY + box shows 'FAILED" messages when you look at the Network settings for connection to broadband etc.
Such a long time since I did the previous set up - should this be automatic or do I need to manually enter IP settings for the SKY+ box?
Hoping that makes sense - any help welcomed!

Re: SKY+ Network settings for CAT5 / Ethernet connection to BT Hub
You need to set the IP on the Sky box
IP example: 192.168.1.250 (bold number can be between 1 and 253 but not match an existing device on the LAN)
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway (routers address) 192.168.1.254
DNS: 1.1.1.1 and/or 1.0.0.1 (cant remember if the Sky+ takes 1 or 2 DNS addresses)
