Old Sky card won’t pair with new Sky+HD box so cannot pause, record or use On demand for 4 days now

Replaced old broken Sky box with brand new one.  New one will not pair with with the old Sky card. I press the buttons, Sky pairing message says "Request to pair was successful. Your channels will be available shortly" then some hours later it says "pairing failed". Have been trying this for 4 days without success.Getting really fed up with this as I just can't get a sensible out of AI or talk to a human.  I have been a Sky customer for 22 years and just want to be able to use my to

You can't now pair a viewing card to another Sky+ box. Sky Customer Services are available to provide advice and troubleshooting. Sky+, being a legacy package, is no longer supported by Sky.

Still call Sky to discuss your options moving forward which will be upgrading to Sky Q or moving to Glass / Steam to continue to view Sky content through a Sky subscription.

Should you manage to contact SKY and they offer you an upgrade to SKY Q then you may wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

@Mrsfedup1 you might want to see if you can get your money back on the new box. You can only use it to receive (not record) the free to air channels.

Sky+ HD boxes haven't been manufactured since 2015.
