OLD SKY + BOX NOT RETURNED AFTER CANCELLING SUB

Hi all.

I cancelled my tv subscription a month or two ago but never returned my old box.

They charged me for NOT returning the old box & I have just checked my bill for the following month and it looks like they are going to charge me again.

Will this be a recurring bill payment until I return their old bow (had it for around 10 years lol)

@THEREIDSTER  can you confirm you have sky plus and not sky Q 

 

sky only charge non return fees on sky Q hardware,so they obviously think you have Q not plus

@THEREIDSTER alternatively perhaps your tv subscription hasn't been cancelled. Did you get confirmation of cancellation, either by letter or email?

Its not the Sky Q box .. They tried to upgrade me to this a few times but I declined.

@THEREIDSTER  then you will need to call sky to check the status of your account otherwise charges will continue 

 

did you switch tv providers by chance note that if you did your new provider won't and can't cancel tv service on your behalf you would have needed to do that yourself

There is something that isn't adding up here as a Sky+ box belongs to you as the customer so does not have to be returned to Sky so they would not be applying charges to your account for this so have you spoken to them and ask them what you should have returned, could it be a broadband router for example ?

There's definitely isn't a non-return fee for a Sky+ or Sky+ HD box: fees are applied to Q television boxes, Stream pucks acquired after 23rd February 2023, plus Sky Broadband and Max Hubs (and historically Q Hubs) and their matching boosters.
