I have been paying my brothers Sky subscription for over 20 years. They do not have any internet connection. Over the last couple of months they have not been able to watch any channels. This happens for 2 or more days and then the channels come back on again. I am paying over £90 per month and feel I am wasting my money if they cannot watch their programmes. They do not want a Q box as Teletext Service is a must for them as is Live Sport Channels. The viewing card is inserted properly so can anyone tell me why this keeps happening. Thank you.

You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you already have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet

If they are getting no satellite signal message then unless he has sky protect insurance you will need to employ the service of local contractor to check the dish for realignment issues
if it's not the dish at fault the only option is to source a second hand sky+hd box from well known auction sites
