You should be able to get a good deal from Sky to switch, but I'd suggest not mentioning the dish problem until you've agreed a deal (you might otherwise lose a bit of bargaining points). You might want to start by saying you'd like to switch but don't want to pay any more.

 

They won't replace the dish on the roof though, but more likely install a new dish somewhere lower, providing it can still receive a good signal.

Assuming the thunderstorm has now passed (you didn't say) have you tried restarting both boxes by turning off at the plug for 5 minutes? If that doesn't help, it looks like your dish may have moved slightly and is now out of alignment.  You'll need to book an engineer to investigate.

That's not good. Sky don't normally climb higher than first floor bedrooms now. Is,there room for the dish to be relocated lower?
