The problem i have with the channel is intermittent
It could be in view of a slight dish misalignment.

With marginal signal a small amount of rain (not necessarily falling where you are, but in the air between your dish and the satellite) could do that.

It's normal for a minor dish alignment fault to cause intermittent loss of just a handful of channels. When you have problems with GB News you should also find CNN and Bloomberg are affected as they are on the same frequency (it's not a conspiracy or anything against GB News, but why they chose to move to a transponder that favours coverage in Europe over the UK is a mystery).

If everyone is still wondering about GB News and the loss of channel 512 - I am watching it ok on 509.

That's the EPG number for GB News on Sky Glass & Stream.
On the Sky satellite EPG GB News is on 512 and the comments above about signal strength and dish alignment apply.
509 on Sky satellite is NDTV 24x7 (New Delhi Television) which has a somewhat different perspective.

Ok understood. I've only been with Sky since Friday - not familiar with all the particulars yet! Didn't mean to confuse.

No problem: just worth remembering that the channel lineup and numbering isn't the same between the satellite and streaming systems.

Fyi the sky engineer came and checked my disk alignment at no charge. It is fine. Thankyou
