Anyone across the South East will have been aware if the massive thunder & lightening storm last night. It seems my ariel was struck by lightening, causing a surge across the house, including irreparable abd permanent damage to my TV, ariel and Sky box. I'm not sure what to do first! Will Sky replace the box? Thanks.

@Maryl123 Sky won't replace the box unless you have sky protect insurance has sky plus is a legacy product which is having support completely withdrawn
if you don't have the insurance you will need to source a second hand sky +hd box

Re: Lightening strike
You will need to source your own second hand replacement Sky+ box or move to Sky Q/Stream/Glass, Sky will not replace it unless you already have Sky Protect Insurance

Re: Lightening strike
Not if it's a Sky+ box, I'm afraid, but you can pick up a used Sky+HD box cheaply from ebay etc. Just choose only either DRX890 or DRX895 model. You shouldn't need to pay more than around £30.
