I do not recall ever setting the need for a PIN to access normal Sky programs but it appears on one or two. When I access settings I can change my number but no option there to remove it. Can anyone help? @Moby

You can't remove it from all programmes, I'm afraid. It's there to meet OFCOM requirements.

Re: I want to remove the need for a PIN on normal Sky programs on Sky HD+
Any channel carrying post-watershed content before 21:00 has to apply Mandatory Daytime Protection, which the Broadcasting Code specifies must not be removable by subscribers.
This is most often found on Sky Atlantic, and sometimes on Comedy and Documentaries. It's also applicable to on-demand content from Sky, and several of the Cinema channels.
