I am using a Sky+ box that is approximately 8 years old. Recently, I have noticed the picture intermittently turns very grainy for a few hours, every few days - it seems to be happening more and more frequently.
i have followed all the support instructions (e.g. turning off and on, changing output channels, trying different HDMI ports and cables) but nothing is helping.
Can anyone advise? I am starting to think that the box is faulty or burning out due to age...

How is your TV connected to your Sky box? HDMI/SCART/Coax(areial)
What are your Signal Strengths/Qualities? Take a look at the link below:

Question Q11 in my Sky Plus F⋅A⋅Q
Not quite - by grainy, I mean there is a general noticeable 'noise' throughout the whole picture compared to how it normally looks, especially where there is high contrast - e.g. the blue menu bar with the white/yellow text is particularly noisy.
TV is connected via HDMI through a sound bar ARC, although I've tried connecting directly to the TV and the problem persists.
Signal strength is full - certain the signal is not the problem, as it occurs while watching everything, recordings, downloads and live TV.
As soon as I work out how to, I'll upload a picture! Thank you.

It's very hard to photograph the issue, it most certainly doesn't look as fuzzy as it doesn't to the naked eye! But you can just about see almost a glow around the letters caused by aforementioned 'noise'

Thanks - unfortunately that made no difference either. I will try and connect to another TV tomorrow to see if is an issue with the current one.
