Downloads affecting wi fi

Whilst i'm downloading a programme to watch from the Sky On Demand service, it knocks off all the wi fi in the house and we have to re set the router. Pretty sure it wasn't always this way.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be ?

Possibly the download is using the majority of your available bandwidth, which would slow down or stop other downloads.

@Bibs6162

Do you know your broadband package / speeds at all?

As the above user pointed out you may be using alot of your bandwith when downloading a program.

@Bibs6162 you could try turning your Hub off at the plug,for 30 seconds or so. It may decide to allocate a different wireless channel when you restart it, hopefully to one offering better performance.
