I currently have Sky Stream in two properties and have to pay twice no only for each package but also for skipping ads and UHD. Why cant I just take my puck with me and plug it in??

Because it would be a breach of the Terms & Conditions you've agreed to by taking Sky services.
You cannot takenmyour boxes from one address to another at random.

Sky is a per property service and always has been. That's why a Sky account has to be registered to the address the service has to be used in.

Hi @Tueie
As others have said this is Sky's business model and part of the terms of service you have agreed to. Sky use technical measures to ensure that services are only being used in the location they should.

Sky can impose additional charges on your account or restrict your service if they detect a breach.
