Sky puck connected to TV via HDMI cable
Eversolo DMP A8 streamer/pre-amp/DAC connected to TV via HDMI RCA
Primare I130 amp connected to Eversolo DMP A8 streamer/pre-amp/DAC via Chord connects
- Sky puck connects for sound via the above (automatically switching the TV speakers off) - no issue
- Eversolo DMP A8 streamer/pre-amp/DAC connects to TV (automatically switching the TV speakers off) and sound from TV programmes including YouTube, Netflix etc. - no issue if the Sky puck is disconnected from the TV
If the Sky puck is connected to the TV, the sound under 2 above initally comes from the Primare amp and after about 5 mins, the TV speakers override the amp and the sound only comes from the TV and you cannot manually switch back to the Primare amp. So in order to play sound continuosly through the Primare amp from the TV (YouTube/Netflix/Amazon/TV stations) you have to physically disconnect the Sky puck HDMI cable from the TV
Any ideas??

The Stream pucks have been known to have HDMI CEC issues with some other devices. My puck caused havoc with all other devices connected to my Denon amplifier - it basically killed all control of them whilst it was connected, even when it was in standby.
The only way to get everything to behave was to get a CEC blocker and connect it to the puck. This stopped it sending spurious CEC commands all the time and makes everything else connected to the amp function correctly.

Re: Sky Puck keeps switching the sound system off and initiating the TV speakers
Hi @Ripleys_Cat
Many thanks for your insight and help.
I've fitted the CEC blocker, purchased via the link you kindly included in your thread and the system has worked perfectly all afternoon.
Best
Fergus
