stream home button

I have a sony brava tv with a firestick on hdmi 1 and puck on hdmi 4. if I am watching sky and press home on the firestick remote the tv switches to hdmi 1. if watching the firestick and press home on the sky stream remote nothing happens. I have to select hdmi 4 source on the tv remote.  is there a setting to make the source switch to hdmi 4 from the stream home button?

Hi @josh+prior

You need to make sure that CEC control in on in the settings on the puck and possibly on your TV for the port connected to. Pressing home turns the TV on and wakes my pucks up in my samsung and hisense TVs.

Re: stream home button

I have swapped stream onto hdmi 1 and firestick onto hdmi 4. still the same issue. ie home button on stream does not switch to hdmi 1. have to maually select hdmi 1 on tv remote. I cannot see any option to set cec from within the sky stream settings.

Re: stream home button

the issue appears to be related to the Bravia Sync settings.  At present both The firestick and stream are in the bravia sync device list. the home button works on the stream to switch to sky from the fire.

However, If I power the tv off and on the stream dissappears from the list (the fire remains) . If I disconnect the stream hdmi cable and reconnect, it returns to the list and the home button works again.

Re: stream home button

I've reconnected the skyq box and this remains in the sync list when the tv is repowered.

Settings > Startup & Standby > HDMI Control needs to be ON.

On some TVs there are also CEC control settings in the TV. But you would have to Google the specific model.

This Sony article may be of help to setting the CEC control on your chosen hdmi port of the Sky Stream Puck.
