paramount+ registration

Hi. having moved across to Sky and taking the sky cinema package which offered the benefit of Paramount+, it would seem that registering for the above benefit is not working, a known issue for many months and after being told twice it was being worked on and "should be fixed in 48hrs" no progress has been made. merely told it is a known issue once more and left to twiddle my thumbs and get the same response on the register page day after daysky.png

Looking at your screenshot I can see on one of your tabs that you have DuckDuckGo installed. 

I had an issue about a year ago whereby it was interfering with my Sky login and wouldn't allow me to view certain pages on the website. As soon as I deactivated it for Sky websites they all worked fine. 

Might be worth disabling it and trying your Paramount+ registration again.

Which WEB Brousers have you tried to access the Sky.com site?

iMac. iPhone. iPad. Pc.

 

every browser. Every different device gives me the same action.

DuckDuckGo is only on my phone. Not iPad. iMac or game pc. Which all give the same action.

Have you got any VPNs running on the device? These will cause issues when accessing parts of the Sky website.

So further exploration of the community and it gets worse. "Cannot activate." "Cannot log in."  "Cannot watch."

 

Is paramount+ merely a publicity stunt to get people to sign up for sky cinema or is it a genuine, MONTHS LONG, known error that will continually be "fixed in 48hrs"

@Worton-Casey I don't know if this will be of any help to you but I also had problems with accessing Paramount + when I took out Sky Cinema about 18 months ago and this was my experience.

 

I phoned Sky and the Customer Service Rep I was speaking to put me on hold while they spoke to the back office team.  From memory I was told that it was probably an account conflict as I had previously had Sky Cinema but had cancelled it about a year before renewing with Cinema (with the free Paramount+ offer).  I was advised that the back office team said they should have my issue resolved within 72 hours.  When I tried to log in again that evening it was successful but what the actual problem had been I never found out.

 

Maybe you also have an account conflict of some description so keep pestering them until they resolve the issue for you.  Alternatively I could escalate your post to the Community Messaging Team who will invite you to an online chat.  Let me know if this is an option you would like to try.

No account with sky cinema under my name or my email address.

 

just feels like being fobbed off by sky who know there is a months long issue yet they push the narrative of paramount+ with sky cinema when it is so obviously broken.
