Due to my living circumstances I have no access to a private network. the only WIFI i have is a public connection, the type that takes you to a web page to log in, I know from experience some appliances won't connect to WIFI like this with the struggle of opening a webpage. Is this an issue with the Sky Stream or would it work?
thanks.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere isn't any way to provide a Stream Puck with credentials for a captive portal login or to acknowledge a Terms & Conditions webpage before proceeding: broadcast signal authentication is through inputting 'Network name'/'WiFi password' or using WPS (button press) only.
Given the nature of the Sky subscription service being delivered to the device its designers wouldn't have anticipated the need for other functionality (and a Puck doesn't have a web browser)
