What do I do with old remote?

My remote started doing odd things like the volume button bringing up search instead. So phoned Sky and tried to resolve but did not work. So they have sent a replacement remote and now all good.

My question is what do i do with the old remote? Does this have to be returned to Sky like youn would if you cancelled or do you just recycle it?

You can take it to your local small electricals recycling or you can send it back to Sky for recycling. You can print off a free returns label here:

Re: What do I do with old remote?

It's because of the batteries that they supplied has leaked over the pcb inside.

if you take it apart and clean the board it will work fine and you can keep it as a spare

Not all batteries leak. Some remotes Sky supply are just faulty.

Was just saying as mine was doing exactly what you said, you wouldn't have known unless you had opened the remote as there were no signs in the battery compartment or on the batteries
