We have no speech sound on our sky stream only background noisep

I have this today as well. bbc/itv channels are fine, but sky channels all have this issue.

Same here but not all channels, only the ones I want to watch. 10 minute wait on customer service 🙄

Find out more@Joshua9219 Try adjusting the sound output on the stream puck by accessing the setting menu - Picture and sound - then select the sound output on hdmi, there are a number of options but try aither pass through, if that doesn't work try pcm stereo

I've tried both passthrough which didn't work so tried pcm stereo. I can hear the dialogue if I really turn the volume up but then the background music/sound us blaring.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Vivian5 check your TV or audio kit as you apppear to be missing the centre channel which carries the dialogue. If its a straightforward stereo set up with only 2 speakers then PCM should be loads better but if you have a centre speaker that isnt working that would explain the issue.

Thank you but I should have mentioned, it's only on the sky channels - movies, sky sports, sky witness etc. plus Netflix, Prime etc. the terrestrial programmes are all fine. Also went I go to Netflix, Prime etc outside of Sky stream all fine.
sky has said it's something to do with pointing to 2.4 instead of 5Ghv but it can't be if everything else is ok.

No dialogue sound on Amazon prime. Has also occurred on sky sports UHD solved by pressing the 3 dots button on sky remote and selecting audio track- English (AD)

We've also been experiencing this and for now a workaround is to use the three white buttons on the remote and setting the audio track to "English (AD)"
Fixes dialogue but occasionally you'll get a voice describe what's on screen.
Seems to me an internal sky stream error.

We have been switching to AD and was good but now we don't even get the option. This is getting ridiculous now.
