Recent Stream update, within last week, has broken playlist programme links to iPlayer
Select BBC programme from playlist
Select the account user - didn't use to do this
You're then presented with iPlayer home page not the programme you wanted to watch.
Go back to Stream home
Select playlist
Select programme you want again
iPlayer opens the and plays the progrmme you wanted.
I love being an alpha tester for a product that costs the earth and delivers the night soil.
For two and a half years that Playlist / iPlayer integration worked pretty well. Then some clever coder trashed it in an upgrade. I don't think this product has actually ever had real user testing only, Sky genius testing in a Sky house..
I've raised a complaint, but unless more users find this new feature irrtating they won't fix it...

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
It's quite likely that it's the BBC who have requested this. They like to have proper analytics of who is watching their content under which profile. Perhaps they had some kind of initial agreement with Sky to bypass it, but now they have changed the agreement.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
This is something that i have noticed recently aswell, mainly affecting iplayer and also discovery+. when selecting a program from the continue watching rail iplayer behaves as BearWithSoreHead has described, with the exception being that i have always had to select who was watching whenever iplayer opened (never found that an issue)
Discovery+ takes you to a blank screen and only when going back to stream home page and selecting program again does it load and play.
Irritating in both cases though.
Puck has been rebooted and no difference

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
Hi @BearWithSoreHead I thought it was just me but I have been experiencing exactly what you describe for the last week or so. Maybe as you suggest it was when I received my last stream update.
Every time I have gone back to the Sky home screen and selected the programme for a second time it has worked without any further issues. Although I have not found an actual solution, if you let the next episode play for a few seconds you can then select it from the iPlayer Continue Watching rail rather than having to return to the Sky homepage to select it again from there.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
I've been having the same problem recently with 'Continue Watching' programmes from BBC iplayer. I am taken to the iplayer home page where I have to search for the relevant programme again.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
Hi @Thomas611 and welcome to the forum. As I suggested in my previous post, when you have finished an episode just let the next one play for a few seconds before closing iPlayer. That way when you want to play it and the Sky CW rail sends you to the iPlayer homepage you will find the episode in the iPlayer CW rail.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
Got to admit I've recently seen the same issue with BBC iplayer, whereby the first time to open a show from the playlist or CW rail it just goes to the iplayer home page, but if you subsequently press home again and click on the show it then loads as expected.
Seems likely perhaps there was an upgrade to the iplayer app on stream/glass recently that has broken it.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
I have reported this issue on the closed forum so hopefully Sky will investigate it. I have refreshed apps and it hasn't helped.
It might of course be an issue with the iPlayer app rather than with Sky.

Re: Watching BBC iPlayer Programmes In My Playlist
Do not use iPlayer that often, maybe only a few times a week.
But, have also noticed for a few weeks that the first launch of the app after time, takes me to the homepage sometimes and not the programme.
After that first launch it then continues to take me straight to the programme. Until after many hours of not using the app, it all starts the above again with that first launch anomaly.
Must admit, iPlayer has always on its first launch of the app after time, asked me to choose a profile.
Does that on other devices too.
BBC iPlayer app across devices generally gets very regular updates, often every few days or so.

Sky stream not opening selected programme on bbc I player
Usually if you select a bbc show on the sky stream Home Screen it opens up bbc iplayer and starts playing the selected show. But recently it just opens up the BBC iplayer home page and then I have to search for the programme.
I have refreshed apps and rebooted but still happens. Any ideas? Anyone else had this issue?
