Fast forward issues on Sky Stream
Anyone have issues with using the fast forward function on Sky Stream? I pay £5 for the feature but it's constantly making the whatever I'm watching freeze!! I have to come out of it, go back in, it's still frozen then a message pops up saying programme is loading. Takes a few minutes before I can play the show again & it starts back at where the ad was!! Very frustrating paying for such a glitch function!

Re: Fast forward issues on Sky Stream
The experience you'll receive is very much dependent on your broadband and hub connection speed. We're on 500mbps with the Puck maxing out it's ethernet connection at 100mbps and everything works seemlessly. If you're having issues, open the Netflix app and run a speed test as that will show you what speeds are recieving at the Puck.

Re: Fast forward issues on Sky Stream
I'm on a 500Mbps full fibre connection and find fast forwarding & rewinding on Stream to be glitchy. It's nowhere near as smooth as it was on Q and will randomly freeze or boot me out of a live stream being watched from the start. It's very poor. I've tried on WiFi & Ethernet with similar results on both. I think the Sky server your puck is connected to must also impact performance as I don't understand why some people find it "seamless" and others not.

I'm on the Ultrafast Plus sky broadband, also 500+mbs. It's been glitchy since I started using it about 18 months ago. Also miss how well the fast forward worked on Q - really don't think they should be charging for the function when it doesn't work properly!!

Re: Fast forward issues on Sky Stream
No issues with my broadband but I haven't found ad skipping "seamless" on any programmes. NOW with Boost cuts out the Sky channel ads completely - that's the superior service

Re: Fast forward issues on Sky Stream
I'm on Sky Ultrafast + 500 Mbps.
Find ff/rew on linear channels works well, not had any problems there.
Watch from start, then skipping to where you want using remote or voice works well along with the ad skipping.
Find the ad skipping in the likes of ITVx and My5 works well using the pressed right button for a few seconds.
Apps generally works well under Stream, but each app tends to use their 'trick play' buttons for ff/rew differently, which is more frustrating to have to remember each time for their slight differences. But then that is the same if using in a Smart TV or Roku device.
Do not really see any glitches, it's smooth sailing for me.
Have the main TV puck on wifi (Netflix speed test shows 290-320Mbps) and another puck on Ethernet (Netflix speed test shows late 90Mbps).
Sky Stream with two pucks (former Sky Q and Sky+ customer).
Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Mobile unlimited data. Sky Protect smart tech kit tester.
My good journey to Sky Stream from Sky Q. Click here to read
