So, my subscription is creeping up again, so considering either suspending or cancelling my Sky after 25 years.
if I cancel does my stream box become a doorstop? (Box is mine as I bought it)?
Not much content in 4k Atmos , will other apps still work in UHD is I lose the 4k Atmos add on?

Find out more@Johndm1957 if you cancel the Ultimate TV pack you are correct the puck becomes a doorstop see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-without-a-subscription. Stopping the uHD/Atmos pack does not affect apps like Netflix it only applies to Sky's programming.

You cannot suspend you can only cancel. Yes pucks stop working when there is no active subscription. I assume you have Sky stream given you have posted here.
Ownership of the puck depends when you took out the subscription. You can check if it is Sky owned or customer owned as per the information here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/your-devices-sky-glass
If you have Sky Q, equipment is also loaned and needs returning.

Some have claimed that their customer owned Sky Pucks continued to work post cancellation ... it's never been clear the background to these claims🤔

The stream box is mine, that is confirmed in my account.
Think I'll remove the uhd Atmos pack and see if the missus notices.
We only seem to watch a small amount of Sky programming in UHD as we don't subscribe to movies or sport.
We watch most UHD content on Netflix and bought 4k discs.
She insists we keep the skipping as she watches a lot of c4 and c5 stuff.
Thanks for the answers
