Stutter on any content streamed

Hi. I recently joined sky with ultimate TV and 500mb broadband. I am using the puck wired to the router and sometimes it starts to stutter no matter what I try to watch be it Netflix, hbo or live TV. After restart it goes back to normal but its annoying to have to restart every time especially since restart takes few minutes. I think its a software problem

As you mention using etherent, make sure you have turned wifi off in the Sky Stream network settings.

After doing that, also do a settings restart;

Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete

Re: Stutter on any content streamed

Wifi was turned off and yes restart fixes the issue but its not ok to have to restart several times a day for this, there should be a fix

Re: Stutter on any content streamed

This is the point people seem to miss. Restarting several times is not a solution. It's not reasonable under any circumstances. This product is 5 years old now and has had these problems from day one.
most of the time it's not home WiFi or lan setup problem. The fact is it's a horrible combination of poor firmware, seriously underpowered hardware, and a sky backend that gets congested very easily. Given that all your apps run on this backend (ie not locally on your puck) this makes it incredibly sensitive to any issues, none of which are your fault.
