What a nightmare, new technology that has more bugs than anything else. Will not start, when it does can't find channels as it has a technical issue, what a load of rubbish, spend 15 minutes every time to get it to work in the mornings. Before you fetch out new tech give it a thourgh testing before you stick it to customers. Sky need to get their act together. I wish I never bothered.

Try connecting the puck via an ethernet cable and it may improve things. You will also need to disable the Wifi in the settings on the puck otherwise it will ignore the ethernet connection and go back to Wifi.

What did Sky suggest when you contacted them with your issues ? @Allen13

Hi, first of all they said it was my 3rd party broadband supplier until I told them I have sky broadband, then they tried to blame my download speed which is 76mg , they then said I have a faulty sky stream box which they are replacing ASAP, it is the tech in the box it is a load of scrap, if this new box is not up to scratch I told them I want to back to sky q, only time will tell, this is not a robust system.

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Start up and standby
3. Set Networked Standby Mode to ON
4. Set Overnight powersaving mode to OFF.
If you need to change these settings, once changed reboot the puck by going to
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.
Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

Marl, many thanks I have already tried this but it still wants to go into standby mode unless you follow the on screen instructions which please pick up your remote now , not everyone needs to touch your remote every couple of hours, crazy system.

Yes thats correct - thats the built-in power saving which you cannot control or disable.
However you mentioned you had issues when turning it on every morning anh those settings should prevent that as it ensures the puck keeps its network connection, without it it can take several mintues for the network connection to re-establish once the puck has been turned back on after being in standby for a while.

Mark, you have been a inspiration for me ,since connecting everything including the remote several times , it has not gone off and I don't have to touch the remote like before. I am so grateful to you many thanks, allen. Happy new year to you and your family.
