Have you informed Sky? They will assist with troubleshooting your home broadband network in order to try and improve your service.

If you still can't get it to function reliably or to a standard you deem to be worth the amount being charged, then Sky will usually allow you to leave a streaming TV contract early without penalty.

You need to contact them though and make an attempt at improving your broadband connection to your Stream puck. Sky Stream is not like Sky Q - it relies entirely on the customer providing a fast and stable enough connection. There is no in-home engineer support.

I'm now on bt. Connection is so much better. Price is cheaper too. Sky did try and get me to look at skyq but the price was eye watering so ditched sky and now back on bt. My only real gripe with bt is the box doesn't support Disney.

Regarding the remote control not contolling the tv, BT engineers did help. When connected to an AVR, it needs two hdmis if you want to control the tv. Single hdmi and the remote won't control the tv. I suspect this is the reason why the sky remote also wouldn't work. Surprised that sky engineers didn't suggest this in all my calls with them.

The picture is good but the sound is **bleep** . When I go on Netflix etc I have to turn sound down after it's been on sky channels

@ALAW1 have you reportedto Sky all the issues you're apparently having, (even though the picture is good)?

Or are you just complaining without doing anything about it?

Re: Sky stream is absolutely awful. I’m done

I've had a cable running across my house for over two months because Stream decided after a year of working fine, that it couldn't work on WiFi anymore.

This despite there being absolutely nothing wrong with my WiFi, as confirmed by Sky. And also previously working well for over a year with that same WiFi.

For a year and a half, I've had football and basketball games randomly missing every single week in series links playlists.

Just awful

Yes, the series links issues are incredibly frustrating and the 'super users' on here refuse to acknowledge the problem.

Sky themselves, ignore it too

We almost never claim there aren't problems (because that would be silly) : what we might do is comment on the number of posts relating to a particular issue, or whether we've experienced it ourselves.  Sometimes we can also say if we've had feedback from Sky.

no doubt there is a problem ........ as others have mentioned best course of action is to email viewerR@sky.uk which is the department that can investigate these issues
