Thanks both, much appreciated.

I do like the menu display, which is an upgrade from Q

Give it a try - it's the only way to truly find out if it'll work for you, as without a fast & stable broadband network the experience can be pretty painful. The pucks are also slower than Q at doing certain things like fast forwarding & rewinding so if you do a lot of that it might be a deal breaker.

So is the play list similar to recordings? I am very much hesitating to swap from Q cause of the recordings and the lag. I spoke to a friend of mine who is an engineer and he advised not to swap at this stage

@Super+Anthony if you are happy with Sky Q I would stay with it for a little longer whilst Sky continue to improve the platform. Personally, after a few initial gremlins, I have grown to love the streaming platform but admit it's still not perfect. I like the convenience of being able to watch what I want when I want without having to wait for a broadcast which I can record.  Unlike recordings the playlist programmes are only available for as long as the streaming rights are available to Sky.  In 20 months of ownership I have only had one series I was watching which disappeared but luckily I was able to find it again on Disney+ 😀

You have a 31 day cooling off period so you could subscribe and then cancel if you don't find Stream  suits your viewing requirements.

Just one word of caution - If you don't have a fast AND stable WiFi connection you are likely to have disappointing experience (to put it mildly).

Re: Sky stream , honest review

Thanks everyone. What I see generally is it's better to stay on Q to Sky stream with all the issues and it's too early

My broadband is 500MB so no issues there

Your sky store purchases all remain.

You will be using the Sky Store app within Stream to view your purchases and buy and rent further content.

it is a once login to the Sky store app with your skyid.

As for Stream, you need to call Sky to order/ upgrade to it. It currently cannot be upgraded online.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I thought I'd give Stream a try and move over from Sky Q to get UHD on my other TVs.

Rather than giving me a better deal, Sky wanted more than £20 extra a month for Stream! And believe me when I say I haggled!

I've been with Sky for over 20yrs now, but this may be the end for me now

Re: Sky stream , honest review

Pot luck, depends who you get through to - the sky bargaining dept is extremely volatile !

if you call back now you'll probably get a great deal, then call back and again and it's full price .. zero consistency or rhyme or reason

Re: Sky stream , honest review

Yeah, I've tried! Trust me. The only option I get is full price. Great deals if you're new, but they won't budge for an existing customer. I've tried with the 'loyalty' team with a pending cancellation.

Crazy really, I'm one of those people that others ask my opinion when it comes to tech.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I only got lucky when the winback team called me after my cancellation went through - everyone up to that point was like "how dare you cancel - full price for you!"

I also did have 30 mins on the phone with a guy who told me that I needed sky glass , despite me telling him I had much better TVs in my house already.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I spoke to the winback team today. They told me they could only offer further deals on Q. They put me through to Stream (having explained the situation first) and they were adamant I could not have any discount. Fully price only. Only new customers get a discount on Stream at the moment.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

Same with me . You would think Sky would want to encourage customers switching to stream . I was offered a price that was wrong , next advisor said previous advisor should not have spoken to me about stream not trained . I was offered £76 by first advisor, 2 free pucks as I was taking whole room , first month £51  , I was told it should have been £95 , what previous advisor had given me was for new customer, but after speaking to a manager said they could discount by ( wait for it) £2 . I said that was an insult . I also get sick and tired of being sent emails about deals for sky deals . Only to see in very small print NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY, . Couldn't believe the advisor told me that . The journey with sky is ALWAYS terrible . Pot luck who you speak to , also lack of consistency

@mirrors90 there is a simple reason for the different offers.  Each agent has a fixed number of offers at various levels they can use with each period so it depends on the agent you get and their view of what will keep you as a customer and what offers they have left. Agents are rewarded by the number of customers they retain and do this every day so like gambling against a casino you cannot guarantee to win. In some cases where a customer has made muktiple threats to leave they will simply let them leave.
