Why is my sky tv not working it's been down all day. Saying there is technical issues. Sky is the worst service ever. No service, delay on people talking, can't speak to a human. What am I paying for?

If no issues with broadband have you tried unplugging your stream box for a minute or 2?

Yes of course I have. I know it will not work without internet but that is always going down. I have had to take a contract out with Virgin just to be able to watch tv on a sky puck. This is an absolute joke of a service

So your ISP is VirginMedia?
Do you check your connection speed regularly using the Netflix app's network check?

Well Sky run on the OpenReach network, so if the internet service from the OpenReach network isn't giving you at least 40-50 Mbps then you will struggle to use the Sky streaming platform and the only approach would be to have an altnet provider of Virgin as your ISP as they don't rely on the national openreach infrastructure.

No my internet provider is supposed to be sky but as it is always dropping out and too u reliable for working from home and also as a back up for when I want to watch tv on sky puck as when I use sky it keeps freezing so I have to keep swapping over to virgin to enable me to watch sky.
i should not have to keep swapping over to virgins broadband to watch tv. The sky broadband is worse than useless and not worth a penny of what I'm paying for it.
changing over to sky and listening to all the false promises about how good it is was a massive mistake I never should have done it.

I have had to take out a contract with Virgin as the sky broadband is worse than useless, such a waste of money

Find out more@Sandrashurgold So why dont you simply leave them connected to the VM broadband service if it's better instead of switching all the time, the fact you know Sky broadband isn't up to speed for the puck begs then question why are you connecting to Sky broadband? You're simply repeating the issue over & over & over.
What is your Sky broadband speed meant to be? Anything less than 20mbps for HD & 30 mbps for UHD will cause issues. If you're connecting over wifi this may well also be a factor.

Which Sky BB service do you have?
Have you reported your Sky BB services to Sky?
Have Openreach sent an engineer to your address to check your Sky BB service's connection to the BB network?
So ... your Sky Puck works without issue when connected to Virgin Media's BB service ... there is no issue with the Sky Puck🤔
