Sky puck buffering
I moved over to sky stream ( from Q) in August 23rd, and really wish I hadn't , it's the worst viewing experience I have ever had to endure!
to add clarity, we also moved to fibre on the same day, and this is fantastic, runs 2 Xbox's and WiFi is also fantastic on phones iPads etc, however for watching live TV all we get is buffering on all TV guided programmes, at all times of the day:
After several tech calls to Sky, Sky sent a new PUCK, October 10th, and the issue is still the same, buffering,lagging, it's horrible,
watching any TV guided programmes , and you end up with fuzzy picture, freezing picture, blank screen, no sound, it's a nightmare!!!!!! Sky have said it's now my WiFi which nonsense as we have two Sky booster boxes, so now I'm left with a product that I hate!
DO NOT GET SKY PUCK,

Requiring two Sky boosters at an address would in itself suggest a problematic wireless environment...

Re: Sky puck buffering
What is the Pucks connection speed to internet measured using the Netflix Network check on the Puck?

Re: Sky puck buffering
@MRNUNN One of the main reasons for buffering or freezing is the quality and speed of the WiFi signal being received at the TV/puck and not that being received at the router. This can be checked with the Netflix App (Get help > Check network). The minimum speeds recommended by Sky are as follows:
HD = 25mbps
UHD = 30mbps
HD + 1 puck = 30mbps
UHD + 1 puck = 35mbps
The important thing with Wi-Fi is to have a stable signal as both Glass and Stream are susceptible to problems if there is any signal fluctuation or interference. For this reason an Ethernet connection is usually better than WiFi as it maintains better stability.
You could try an Ethernet connection but don’t forget to turn off WiFi in Settings / Network / Advance settings. If Ethernet is not practical (as in my own home) then you could consider Powerline Adapters which are about £35 on Amazon. Don’t waste money on a Gb model as Glass and Stream Ethernet ports only support 100mbps.

Re: Sky puck buffering
As mentioned above.
Having a good local network broadband is key to Sky Stream.
You mention using two Sky boosters. That does not sound ideal and would suggest you have some kind of wifi hotspots within your property.
Can you do a network speed test on your Puck.
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say a few minutes between tests.
What is your speed for the puck?
Also, it may be suffering from interference,, the puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. Wood is generally the best.
Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, microwaves and the like.
Assume you are using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.
Plus, change both your pucks to following recommended settings set in Settings>
Turn wifi OFF under Network (f connected via ethernet).
Set Network standby mode to ON and Overnight power saving is OFF.
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.

Re: Sky puck buffering
As others have said ..... boosters are ok for some devices but in essence they are boosting an already weak signal and losing more in the process
I would suggest a set of fairly inexpensive powerline adapters to link your stream to the router directly or a more expensive wifi mesh system ..... both will produce better results than boosters
