Right here it goes....
I took out Sky Stream a few weeks back and so far I'm not entirely impressed by it for a number of issues. (Not the topic of this discussion)
I am a telecoms engeerer myself and have BT 900mb FTTP. I have a PS5 Hardwired to my Hub and a PS Portal.
I have come to the conclusion that when playing on the PS Portal remotely connected to the PS5, everything works perfect, not a single bit of lag..... until...... I turn my Sky Stream Puck on.
As soon as the pucks turned on, the PS Portal is completely unplayable. I have to mess around for 5 mins restarting the PS5 etc to sort the issues.
Any suggestions on fixing this problem. I'm assuming the Puck is prioritising itself over the PlayStation for bandwidth. My thinking is trying to prioritise the PS5 within the Hub settings.

I did actually find a solution to my issue.
It was not caused by the sky stream puck itself, however the HDMI from the PS5 to the TV. Disconnection the hdmi from the TV instantly resolved the issues.
Bit of a pain as I have to disconnect it everytime I plan on using the Portal but I can confirm the Puck had no bearing on the issue I was facing.

Re: Sky Stream effecting PS Portal
Hi @Stu98
The connection to the internet is only half the equation here. Given that stream is only a client, it will just been using data as any other device. There certainly isn't anything settings wise you can change on the stream box.
The BT smart hub doesn't really have much in the way of QOS but it might be worth posting over on the BT forum.
I have a glass TV, 4 pucks, a PS portal and BT FTTP and dont see such issues, if that is any help whatsoever.

As @mikealanr indicates, there's no mechanism in the standard network stack by which a client device can do that: it would require the router to be cooperating by design, which is certainly conceivable for a Q television box and a Q Hub, for example, but not a BT router and Sky hardware.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Sky Stream effecting PS Portal
I think I'm getting similar conflicts, my stream pucks work ok, my ps5 works ok on psn, but if both are on they connect to the WiFi ok, but both show intermittent connection to the internet. Neither Sky nor Vodafone (network provider - 900Mb) have seen this before or can suggest anything more than resetting everything back to factory.
