I've noticed this morning that if I use EPG numbers 1 through to 49 a number of the Sky Stream channels are there in addition to the numbers 101 upwards.
Is this something new? Or has it always been there and I have not noticed?

That has been around for Sky Glass and Sky Stream since launch.
A recent firmware update changed the way it operates recently, to make it more friendly to use ( adding your favourite channels to the list manually) and new features, like selecting your favourite channels automatically on your viewing.
Check the favourites option in the Sky Stream settings, under viewing preferences
