Sky Q and mini boxes switch to Stream

Hi, Currently on Sky Q + multi room. contract is ending so looking to change to stream. However, one of my mini boxes is in my mancave and is hard wired si I can also use as Wifi booster. is this easy to replicate with stream? would i also need a couple of Picks or can the multi rooms just watch on consoles/fire stricks?

thanks

There no hot spot functionality with a Siy Streaming Puck as there is with a Sky Q Mini box. You would need a Puck for each tv that you want to use to view Sky.

No the wifi boosting isn't a feature on Stream. If you're hardwired you could add a separate wifi extender box and then connect your Stream in that room to the Wifi and you should get similar results.

You need a puck for each room you want the full Sky experience on. If you have whole home package you could feasibly use the Sky Go app on games consoles etc. but it's not the full experience so I'd suggest going for pucks.

As mentioned above.

The Sky Stream pucks do not offer any form of wifi hotspot capability.

On your ethernet connection in the man cave, you would need to add a wifi extender for your other devices to connect over wifi.

The pucks can work on a wifi or ethernet connection.

The recommended minimum broadband speed to run Sky Stream is 25Mbps.
Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD.

The live sync Sky Sports option adds a few more Mbps per puck.

The whole home pack will allow you to have multiple pucks and run Sky Go on consoles.
