I do indeed - I rang Sky and the agent wasn't even aware of the update couldn't help me. I'm based in Ireland so the only thing I can think of is that the update was for the UK only - which would be incredibly frustrating. Do you know if it's possible to raise this with a Sky employee on this platform?

Thanks

It does take a month or so sometimes for an update to rollout to all users. I will query if the update was for mainland uk only. In the meantime there are many users from Ireland who post on here regularly.... hopefully they can advise if they have received the slip ads update.

it maybe useful to pull the plug overnight on your device to see if that may force the update

Re: Skip ads button

@Jporch316 @mary323232

I'm based in Republic of Ireland

I have the latest QS34 software updates on both Sky Glass and Sky Stream Pucks

I do have the Ad Skipping subscription just in case someone asks.

I also have not yet seen the Skips Ads button show up yet on any HD  or UHD on demand content

We still have to use fast forward with remote control or voice method.

The skip ads button been made available looks like it's another UK only feature update at the moment.

Customers based in Republic of Ireland also have not got the airplay HomeKit app function on Sky Glass that's another UK only update.

We also did not get Xumo play app or the fast channels from previous updates that uk got in 2024.

I can understand not getting the Xumo app that might be due to regional licensing issues.

Republic of Ireland customers not getting the Skip Ads button and the Airplay functionality on Sky Glass though is strange

Can a Sky employee who monitors this forum explain why Republic of Ireland customers did not get these functions mentioned above in software builds updates why are they UK only.

On a separate matter I don't know if other customers have noticed the issue below

Note there is a bug with the recent QS34 software build versions in regards to Bluetooth headphones when powered on causing Sky glass menu screen to stall if auto connect is enabled in Sky glass settings.

I had to turn off auto connect and use manual connection instead when I want to use my Bluetooth headphones

This Bluetooth bug was not happening in software builds QS32 or earlier builds

I only noticed this issue since QS34 update was rolled out

Re: Skip ads button

Hi @Paul+Boland

Unfortunately I received the following response from a Sky Community Manager regarding the update:

"I've checked with the team this morning, and they've said it is UK only at this stage, however it will be rolling out to the ROI in the future."

So disappointing - hopefully this doesn't become the norm, although it sounds like it already is. I only got Stream a few weeks ago.
