Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Sbl15789 It is part of the latest QS034.020.00P update and seems to work really well (I'm impressed). @Nigelb1972 when you get the update you will see the skip adds button which as far as I can see work on all Sky catchup programmes. It obviously won't work on live channels.
The new update also includes some changes to the continue watching rail as well as a extra vivid mode for Sky Glass.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Super+Anthony I can't really comment of problem fixes as TBH except for a little pixelation on ITV a couple of weeks ago I have not been experiencing any issues recently. The pixelation on ITV has now gone but I think that was before I got the QS034 update.
I should add that so far I have not noticed that the update has introduced any new issues 🤞

Thanks @Fothergill1 . What other updates have been included?
Looking forward to getting the update

A very welcome addition by the sound of it.
Is it only on Sky on demand programmes that the 'skip ads' button appears? Do you still have to fast forward on ITVX/Channel 4 etc?
I still think they should remove them completely on Sky content, much like on the NowTV app.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Ellie_TV So far I have only seen the add skipping button on Sky content and Discovery +.
Your idea of removing adds altogether on Sky programmes would be great but presumably the prices would then have to increase to recover the lost revenue, so the add skipping button is a good compromise.

I think the favourites were updated in Qs033 but thank you @Fothergill1

Also likely quite problematic as a lot of the non-Sky content is delivered via the third party on-demand apps on Sky Stream, so that would require the likes of ITV X and C4 allowing for Sky customers to be upgraded to their premium no-ads tier, which I can't see happening unless the ad-skipping add-on was like £20/month and the other broadcasters each got a fair chunk of it.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @MarkGoldsmith I believe @Ellie_TV was only referring to Sky content which was the basis of my reply 😀
The one channel that annoys me with their adverts is, believe it or not, BBC. We have to pay an annual licence to give them revenue as they don't advertise yet they are constantly advertising their own broadcast content (admittedly not in the middle of programmes though).

We have sky stream and the puck. We've paid for the ad skipping, before we had to fast forward but have just noticed a 'Skip Ads' button in the bottom right of the screen. When we click the skip ads button, the ads are skipped, but also the next 10 minutes of the show! We then have to rewind back through (trying to avoid spoilers) back to the correct point in the show. Has anyone else had this issue/got a fix?

The button is new in the latest release. Working on the content I have tried. Is this on everything you have tried or specific content? Might be worth sharing which show you are exactly seeing the error.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've used the ad skip button for the last week or so on plenty of content and has all worked perfectly with no timing issues.
As above, which channel/programme was this for you that skipped some of the programme?
