SKY Stream remote volume Up button now starts search

Every time I try and put my volume up the volume key opens the search option

Would suggest first trying a repairing of your remote:

On your Sky remote:

  1. Press and hold 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds.
  2. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds.
  3. Wait until you see the 'Your remote is now connected' message and select Continue

If a repairing after a few attempts does not solve your issue, you can order a replacement remote online on the later pages on that link above

Try the following:

 

  1. Press and hold 7 and 9 together for 3 seconds.
  2. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 3 seconds.
  3. Wait until you see the 'Your remote is now connected' message and select Continue.

If that doesn't work you will need to request a new remote as per the info here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/remote-control-help-sky-glass-wrong-menu
