QS040.040.00P Issues

I too get the loss of sound ,  twice in the space of 30 mins. Also picture freeze and sound loss to follow. It is a absolute joke it can take so long to sort it. I'm on QS040 , strange how it went back to QS 037 and now it's back on QS040. I certainly won't be renewing my contract, unfortunately it's not due until next June.

Doesn't seem to be any change at my end but it all seems to work at the moment.  Maybe the problem was at Sky end but they wouldn't tell us.

It's appears this issue with the blank thumbnails has appeared again, for me it had seemed to be fixed for a few days but has reappeared today worse than ever

Hi @Deedee36  at one point yesterday every single thumbnail on my home screen was blank.  I scanned down as far as the settings rail (about 18 rails in total).  I have just checked and a total of 16 thumbnails were blank.

It's 07:15 reading above and checked, the same row after row of blank tiles. Build remains QS040.040 / UI3.268.1 How can the situation be worse with no change in build, then there must be a Sky server side issue!?  

There needs to be a priority fix pushed out TODAY surely @KevNewMedia or let's contact @peter-marlow+1966 because he has never had a single issue in 5 years and may have the solution.

Hi

Had Sky Stream and 500Mbps broadband since Jan 26.  Until recently fine.  Now several times a day the stream will stop no sound and frozen picture? Count to 5 and it will come back but can happen a few time an hour.

Also when first starting the puck and found into the mene everything loads fine.  Once moving through the menu system deciding to watch an app or tv guide when going back the menu doesn't load.  When moving around again you can't see what you are selecting.  When in TV guide and going back as far as you can within the guide you should be able to see the programme you are already on playing in the box and when selecting it return full screen to that programme - only you can't.

I have a suspicion all of these issues are linked.  Have powered down and reset the box and updated it to no avail. Is not a wireless issue as hard wired.

Any ideas anyone and this is now starting to become very frustrating and spoiling my enjoyment of what started off great.

I have the same issues you describe and same as photos.  I first raised this as a sound issue a couple of weeks ago but the post had no response and now it has grown into a major issue from what I can see from posts across the forum.

@KevNewMedia posted there is a fix but Sky are notoriously slow in issuing these and I've seen no posts from anyone saying they've received it and issue resolved.

Interestingly up until yesterday I've had none of these issues but just started to notice the odd couple of tiles and app icons sometimes missing. Nothing major like others and none of the other issues mentioned but my Build and UI versions haven't changed. Looking there though I notice there's also the Platform version. I suspect that's possibly worth keeping an eye on for changes too so I'm adding it to my signature. This is what my current info looks like:

My Platform version is the same as yours so whether that has anything to do with it 🤔

I've had to stop using Sky for now until the updates are pushed out it's just too frustrating to use with the various glitches. 

The other half who is a Sky fan hence us coming back to it for the second attempt has also had enough we've used Apple consistently these passed few days and it's a yes so 👍

I've had missing thumbnails for a few days too.

Yeah with 40.040 I'm having to do a soft restart every 3 or 4 days. Also,  losing wi-fi occasionally also sorted by a soft restart.  Q37 was rock solid for me.
