I notice in the Sky Glass Discussions that the latest software has started to be rolled out, which will include AirPlay. I presume this also applies to Stream! Any information on any other features or fixes would be interesting to hear from those that have started to receive it. Many thanks.

@GD1 Thanks for your reply. So I presume no new update for Stream just yet then?

Presumably because with a Stream puck the assumption would be Airplay would go straight to the television set.

Maybe they should invest more time into addressing the customer's issues instead of development time adding "AirPlay" to glass only, persumably as a gimick to get more poor unsuspecting people through the door.
I can't imagine it was a quick inclusion.

@DiscoDave77 I do wholeheartly agree. Stream in principle is a great system, but what we have needs to have more time spent on it.

Agree 100% @DiscoDave77 and they should be more concerned with the still ongoing issues with stream. Hence reason I suspect with extending sky satellite for a longer period
@Stephen+Mourton agree with you as well

The short satellite extension was seemingly done to put Sky inline with the other broadcasters, as I believe all their contracts now expire at the same time (2029).
There was concern from the public service broadcasters and Freesat that if Sky exited in 2028 they may be unable to afford to keep the infrastructure around until their contracts expired.

I suspect because of all the issues with stream and it not fully working properly, it was another reason for the extension

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Super+Anthony The CORRECT reason has already been posted, here is the link to the news item, as confirmed by the satellite owners, or are you saying they are lying?
You are of course free to fantasise otherwise.

I'm on version qs030 right now will it automatically update or do I have to manually do it

@Kaif1 It will automatically update. It will be phased in over a period of time so once you hear it has been launched it can be weeks before yours will be.
