Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
Updated looks ok UI3.268.3
Just to add the menu looks sharper clearer text punchier tiles. Could be placebo effect but not complaining. For once 😉

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
@darling412001 wrote:@mancsmark Good news at last. The question I have is why it takes Sky so long to fix a very obvious problem that a lot of people have suffered from for months. 🤷
That can be quite normal for the development of active software. Whilst non-critical bugs/problems are reported, investigated, fixed and tested, active software development typically continues, so the fixes end up being merged with the ongoing development and released in a later version as part of the normal software development lifecycle.
A UI bug like this, whilst quite annoying at times, probably wasn't considered a critical bug, as the service was still fully functional because the content could still be watched; it was only the UI that wasn't displaying properly.

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
It is NOT fixed in UI version 3.268.3, I'm on that version and the issue still happens for me anyway. It's been going on since the middle of April for me, very little faith that Sky will ever fix it given there's been multiple updates since then.

@Anonymous My puck updated to 3.268.3 yesterday. Too early for me to confirm if it's an improvement but I can only hope 🤞

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
Also @steviemul if you haven't already since it updated, may be worth rebooting your puck.
Occassionally in the past i've seen the software or UI version update on my puck but the new features/fixes haven't actually been picked up until i did a reboot, like the update hasn't quite 100% fully completed automatically.

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
I have been running this version for a while now and it's not fixed. To be fair, I haven't had this issue reoccurring for me since 18/6/26. Yesterday though, I had a few blank tiles. I didn't bother rebooting the tv, I just put it on standby and an hour later when we turned on the TV, they were working again.

@WelshGeezer How long is quite a while? It's only been out a few days I believe.

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
This update has been on my living room TV for well over a week, perhaps ten days, while my bedroom glass TV received it about five days ago. Despite this, the living room set has shown no problems; the bedroom unit experienced one issue yesterday. Only the app and input rail were affected, along with a few large ad banners.
That said, the TV collapsed into a black screen accompanied by a hissing sound and failed to respond when I attempted AirPlay from my iPhone. I had to disconnect it from the mains—a first.

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
I'm doubting myself now. I will check version when I get home. Maybe I'm mixing up .1 with .3

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
Problem still not fixed on my Sky Glass gen 1. Still on 3.268.1
How long does it take to roll out an update?

Can take several weeks, as sky typicslly
roll out in smallish batches ( I.e a small percentage of devices at a time).

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging
I got the UI 3.268.3 version too yesterday after a puck restart.
Interestingly I was one who only had the odd missing tile image here and there and the other week I decided to do a manual hard factory reset doing the old hold the button down on the bottom of the puck whilst plugging in trick. It sure enough did the led colour flashing and reset and asked me to join my network and then reboot. Obviously this requires re adding my favourite channels list and resetting settings to my preference and re signing in to a plethora of apps. So be prepared if this is what you want (Playlists stay the same as in cloud now linked to your account I believe). Anyway the interesting bit about this was that the software it started off with after reset was Build QS040.040.00P; UI 3.268.1. But straight after a first reboot it updated again to Build QS040.052.00P; UI 3.268.1 and, I'm getting there to the interesting bit...it fixed the missing tiles issue for me even though it was still not UI 3268.3. So the upgrade to this UI version for me yesterday didn't need to fix anything and I can tell no other differences from it.
