Re: QS040.040.00P Issues

Are we able to force an update for those of us affected because it's getting very annoying.

No fully reliant on Sky pushing out the update. Should be soon 'ish' 🙄

Re: Problems with missing tiles and the UI lagging

Strangely I've just turned on my Sky Stream and checked the system info as things were a bit sluggish which can happen after updates, and no I haven't got the UI version update but the build is now QS040.052.00P and platform 8.4p52s1. Few missing icon and tile images still as I guess that's still down to the UI version.

The fix for blank tiles as in the answered post will arrive as a UI update, that is rolling out in a phased rollout to customers.

As previously mentioned, most Sky OS fixes now come through the UI updates, rather than the build version.

Customers will be on a number of build versions at any time, depending on their Sky device and account.

Do not worry about the reference of the platform version.

Build QS040.040.000P

Has anyone actually had the update that fixes the problems of this build? They say that they are rolling it in batches but whoever has the update did it work? Also what is the build number u need to keep an eye out for?

@MBaggers82 The new update will come when it's your turn. Have you got the newest UI update?

@mancsmark Forcing an update won't give you the new UI software.

Sky stream morning regular puck reboot

Ive recieved a new puck as every morning I have to reboot the puck. The new one is no different and it's connected via an ethernet cable. Initially I had 3 months with no issues. Now the morning reboot is frustrating plus later in the day I get blue blank tiles when scrolling through apps. What's e eryones advice ad I've exhausted the help sections. WiFi constantly drops out even tho the ' help' suggestions and fixes plus WiFi max haven't changed anything.

There's currently a bad software update on the pucks which is in the process of being rolled back. You have to wait for it be pushed to your box by Sky though - you can't force an update. This is supposed to fix the blank tile issue at least and may also help with your connection issues. Good luck!
