Issues with Channel 5

The channel 5 app is working when using live but goes into a fault when watching catch up. Fault says that they are having problems at the moment and the asks you to reload app. Have tried all the normal switching off and on the sky puck(s). Seems to be an issue with the app.

Yes, experienced this yesterday. I found coming out of the app and back in does resolve the problem.

This is a known isssue. Sky are aware.

Same issue whe nusing the 5 app. 
starts to play, the either crashes almost immediately, or plays, gets to adverts then crashes

My5 app not working on Sky Puck

Every ad break it it says "We've encountered a problem please restart the app" I have restarted/ refreshed apps turned off broadband and back on again same as the puck and it's been doing it all day long!

I know and it's completely annoying & frustrating!

 

 Irrespective of which app, the puck constantly crashes or black screens but now it's all the time on 5 for the past week. Yet works perfectly fine on TV app but I PAY FOR SKIP ADS FOR A REASON SKY!!

 

  • Talk about straddling the fence in pain to hopefully getting a permanent resolution or cancelling to return to drinks/snacks/bathroom breaks🤣🤣🤣

I the Adverts play OK when it gets to the film or series to play back. I get an error up saying sorry we are experiencing some problems rests the app keep comeing popping up .

Channel5 on sky stream

My 5 app keeps on freezing on sky stream.  Have refreshed and restarted the app and tv etc. Still freezes can watch it on my smartphone no problem so assuming it's sky stream problem.  How can I resolve problem?

Same problem can't fix it refreshed the app etc.  Believe sky is aware of problem hope it's fixed soon.  Have to continue to watch my program on my phone its so frustrating.

I have been having the same issues with Channel 5 playback since last week.

 

After having tried the troubleshooting steps several times to no avail, I was slightly releived to see that it is an ongoing issue, as I was beginning to feel I was going a little crazy not being able to get it to reset. 

 

I have also reported it as advised, hopefully it will be repaired soon, it is very frustrating when you cannot watch the progras you like especially when you hav epaid extra for the priviledge!!

Will not sure but I think it been fixed last  night try it in my bedroom tv box and saw a film right the  away  till the end

  • With no problem but till I try it on my sky glass tv will not no 100% it been ok 👌 so far every looks good i give till the weekend but I think there the problem on 5 still going to keep my eye on other the weekend
