Hi...

Funnily enough, I've just come off the phone with EE. Apparently, their Pro Box has all the terrestrial channels too. Plus, you can record on it!

Not totally sure, but it sound like a Puc, but with the bonus the recording facility.

With the Pro Box you get the option of terrestrial IP delivery, with reduced channels. Or the full Freeview channels via an aerial. (In both cases the Now channels are recordable). One thing to bear in mind though selecting IP delivery ITV block FW or RW on all their channels, and BBC only bookmark any recordings (similar to Stream), which opens Iplayer.

Thanks @Hunter2660 . So am I right in thinking there is a terrestrial aerial socket on the box and I can mix terrestrial and ip delivery?

No you can't mix IP and terrestrial. It's one or the other, not both. And if you decide to change from IP to terrestrial or vice versa, you have to factory reset the box. Probably best to take a look at the EETV forum for fuller information.

So basically it just converts to a freview box. Best to leave the aerial plugged into the telly then. Anyway, thanks for the useful advice.

Re: Picture Intermittently Pixelating - Many Channels

You can also not record BBC channels on the EE box if you are using IPTV. They have stopped it.

Re: Picture Intermittently Pixelating - Many Channels

I've spent most of the afternoon researching the EETV Pro Box. I'm not convinced yet. If Sky Stream  worked properly, it would be one of the best.

Whilst researching the EETV, Google was throwing issues with the box, freezing picture etc...

No Streaming TV system is perfect, or without issue.

Unfortunately I don't think there's much you can do about it. My personal experience is that if you get in touch with the sky tech people they will take you through some troubleshooting steps which don't make any difference. They will probably blame it on your broadband. It's not that. It's them. Some people here appear to have found ways of getting temporary relief. Not sure if any of them have found anything more permanent. Anyone? The rest live in hope of Sky finding a fix. Personally, I've moved to Now for the moment and I'm investigating going over to EEtv (see recent posts)

Re: Picture Intermittently Pixelating - Many Channels

EE TV isn't without issues and will work out more expensive than sky. I suspect that EETV will be eventually phased out, EE are now selling sky stream. The BT group now is focusing on three core products. Wholesale (open reach) mobile (ee) and retail broadband/business broadband. They have no interest in tv.

Re: Picture Intermittently Pixelating - Many Channels

It's really odd the fact that this isn't affecting all customers. I haven't experienced this at all. I have suffered from some other issues
