Hi all
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'm sure one of the admins will move it if not.
So I placed an order for Sky Stream on Thursday, told it could be 5 days delivery. Ok no worries! However I would expect to have received an acknowledgment by now, either by email or message, but nothing. Have checked My Sky and nothing there. Am I being over optimistic for a response?

sadly ,no. Usually when I place an order with Sky I get inundated with emails telling me all the ins and outs!

If you ordered Late Thursday, delivery of the Sky Stream equipment that delivered via dpd, should arrive to you on Monday.
If that is the case you should receive a delivery email from dpd later today.
Details here;

I'd checked there as well = usually Sky are very good at this. So far, ordering Stream has been a nightmare!

Thanks for trying to help.
Because nothing was showing on my account, I raised a complaint with Sky, who confirmed there was no order. So have arranged with them to call me tomorrow (Tuesday), when perhaps we can sort it out!
Ta both.

Sky Stream doesn't have credit checks. Only sky glass due to loan financing the tv

@Neil+Essex Incorrect sky stream is covered by credit checks as detailed on the link below

paid by credit card, no requirement for a credit check. And if I had to be checked I would have expected Sky to mention it. I'm already paying for Sky Q with an uninterrupted payment history so I can't see any reason for a credit check. And if I have failed it, I would like to know as I have a 95%+ credit rating.

That only references Sky Glass and Live, can't see a reference to Stream!

Sky Stream does not make any financial credit checks as such.
But on the sales call you may be asked a few identity questions, more related to your current address and you will be asked to make payment for any upfront additional puck/s fees via a debit or credit card.
As you are a current Sky Q customer, that would have flagged fine to Sky, along with any eligibity to pay assessment, as you mention.
So you did actually pay the £39.95 upfront puck fee using a credit card whilst on a call to Sky?
If that went through, it should be showing as paid in your MySky future bills and also now showing on your credit card account.
So, assume you still have not seen anything in your track order or any email from dpd yet?

apologies yes, noticed those BIG letters now! Didn't spot the title just read the stuff in the box! See what happens when Sky call tomorrow.

But it then goes on to say:
One of the checks is a credit check (also known as a hard search). We’ll only run this check if you’re buying a Sky Glass TV or Sky Live and want to pay for either (or both) in monthly instalments.
There's no mention of Sky Stream anywhere else in the article.
It's another example of poor wording.
