no, nothing at all and when I raised my complaint, Sky confirmed that there was no order.  Regarding the upfront fee, I was told this wouldn't go on my credit card until the puck was delivered.  And having checked my transactions, nothing is showing.  My overall dissatisfaction would have gone though the roof had the monies been taken.  
Mmmm, possibly dissatisfaction is a wee bit mild!

Tomorrow will be my third attempt at ordering Stream and so far my expectation levels are rock bottom.  By the way it was your positive review about Stream that decided me to go ahead.  Very envious of your ease in ordering!

That doesn't sound right about the upfront fee, Sky would charge that as a pre-requisite to processing the order and actually dispatching the puck.

 

When i switched over to Sky Stream on the phone i was asked by the advisor if i was happy for them to charge the £39.95 fee to the payment method associated with my Sky account, when i said yes they processed the payment then and there, and within a few minutes i got all the expected emails about welcome to Sky Stream etc etc.

That's interesting.  Both times I've tried to order I've been asked to pay the £39.95 by credit card.  The first time the card number wasn't  received (I had to enter the numbers via the keypad), second time no problem.  I was surprised that it wasn't taken through my account.  See what happens going forward!

Hi all
Thanks for your support everyone.

 

Sky called back Tuesday evening and I did the reorder.  It took AGES, but it all went through.

i had to pay the "set up" charge by credit card, also, there was mention of a credit check as @SKY1992bf mentioned.  However unless they'd already got the information up it took a nano second!  So whether there was any actual check I don't know.

and just to round it all off, pucks were delivered at 09:30 today😊😊😊.

May be back later if it all goes to rat **bleep**...........
