Received MySky box do I need to connect my box before the engineer comes or do I let him set it all up for me

Thats sky stream and does not require an engineer visit. You plug into the tv and you're ready to go
Sky Stream , Sky Superfast, SR203 router, Tp link td w9970 + Asus RT AX58U (backup), Xbox Series X, google home mini, LG 55 inch uhd tv, with Dolbyvision, samsung a5 2017 and samsung s21

So presumably you're referring to a broadband router as the engineer will bring any Sky Q box and mini boxes with him/her when they come.

That is of course if your broadband is up and running. If you're getting broadband as well leave it until broadband is activated
