New Sky Stream Puck Software Loop
I've just had Sky full fibre 300 installed, works perfectly.
I then installed the recently received puck and it will not get past software update required and then ready to update.....its on a loop between the two!
Ive tried resets/powering off/rebooting router....the whole lot....still no joy!!

Re: New Sky Stream Puck Software Loop
@Lilybear1 Try connecting the ethernet cable from the puck to the hub, and restart the setup process by unplugging the puck and plug back in.

Re: New Sky Stream Puck Software Loop
The hub is in a different room to the TV, so if I connect the puck to the hub how do I navigate without a screen?

Re: New Sky Stream Puck Software Loop
A 10 metre cat 5e cable is around £6 from the likes of Amazon.
About £10 from the likes of Currys, Argos and the like.
That should be plenty long enough to connect between two rooms temporarily.
Make sure if you do purchase one it is listed as a cat5e or cat6 cable. You will not need anything more than that, like a listed cat7 or cat8 cable.
If you cannot easily get hold of a long enough ethernet cable or move the TV closer to the router, you could try.
Creating a wifi hotspot temporarily on your mobile phone (it will use some data, would expect a few gb at most) to complete the software update, by connecting the puck to that wifi network.
Once the setup process has completed, and the Puck restarted, go into the Puck settings, under Network and reset the wifi to your home broadband wifi credentials.
