@Yoghurt  If you did not get the invite to join the trial your tv WILL NOT UPDATE by turning it off and on,sky are still in the process of rolling the trial out to people who have signed up.Once that rollout is complete they then have to monitor the feedback and then fix any reported bugs, they also will be deciding on any new features to add or remove before a general public release is pushed out, this could take weeks or months no one knows

To be very clear, no date has been announced for a Full rollout as it is still in Beta, when the time has come Sky will announce the release.

Until then you'll need to be patient.

@Yoghurt @Oh sorry, I thought this thread was for beta testers to provide updates. You know that there is no guarantee that the roll out of 2.0 may not be coming for a long time right

Re: New Sky OS 2.0

Been using the 2.0 on Glass Gen 2 for over a week now.

The only issue that I've experienced is with the random adding of programmes to the Continue Watching rail - some which I finished months ago and a couple which I've never watched.

What makes it annoying is the inability to delete them directly from this rail. I hope that before 2.0 rolls out generally that the developers add this option as a priority. It's the one thing we've been crying out for since Glass Gen 1 was released and then Stream.

The other thing that makes it annoying is that removing them via the old method of going to the final episode and forwarding to the end doesn't work. Not does removing them from the relevant app like Disney+ etc. At the moment you need to access your My Sky account and delete in the Data settings, as others have mentioned in this thread.

It's crazy that five years on from launch, the one thing that would really improve the customer viewing/user experience with the OS is the one thing that hasn't been added. Yet.

I don't use playlist etc as it's only me in my home but I do like the new layout and the top menu bar is very useful now that Settings and Search can be accessed without having to scroll down a dozen rails (not everyone likes voice search or knew about the ... Button shortcut). I do agree with other users who have said they would like to be able to decide if Sports or Cinema should be on that bar depending on their subscription. It would be useful for Cinema subscribers who don't have Sports.

Re: New Sky OS 2.0

I used to be able to press the round button in the middle of the control and scroll up and down to browse through the channels without leaving what I was wathing.

This is now missing and means I'm stuck and have to go through the whole tv guide to browse.

This is a truly aweful user experience.

Is this functionality going to be restored?

Thanks

Carl

Hi @Cjw567567  Yes as @KevNewMedia  has stated, browsing channels whilst watching tv will be added later on in the Beta trial

@Cjw567567

Seems you may not be aware or have not noticed in this thread where it has been posted many times and flagged by Sky in the post here , that. some features are not available yet in the trial, but will be available later in the trial:

• UHD button on Sports Channels.
• Favourite Channels in the TV Guide.
• Browsing Channels while watching content.
• Customising Subtitles.

New layout.

Why have they withdrawn the option to see what's on next and what is on the other channels whilst watching a programme.  Now you have to go to the TV guide.
