The Sky OS 2 trial was an invite made from your Sky puck or Sky Glass TV.

For the Sky 2.0 trial, the following features are not available, but will be added at a later point through the trial.

• UHD button on Sports Channels.
• Favourite Channels in the TV Guide.
• Browsing Channels while watching content.
• Customising Subtitles.

Had my puck update yesterday.

the beta is head and shoulders above the previous OS. Feels robust and 100% more intuitive.

recording is a revelation. New SkyGo app so can set recording and whatch list stuff in the app and it syncs to the puck.

Issues found -

no onscreen menu so you can scroll through Chanel's and time. I believe Sky have said this will be sorted 

cannot record BBC, ITV or Channel4 - will this be available in the future?

Does anyone else find the new OS viewing controls on live TV infuriating? You can no longer see the info on what is on now, see what is on the channel next or move up and down through the other channels, you have to go back to the full TV guide.

Overall the new OS is fine, but only having the timing bar and not being able to see what is on next or the other channels makes me want to scream.

Two bugs so far, both airplay related:

1. Apple Airplay randomly dropped out mid way through watching something, and started playing on my phone. I was able to recast without issue.

2. After watching something on Airplay and then watching on demand content, the airplay episode title and runtime bar was super-imposed over the new on demand content. I had to restart the tv to make it go away.

Additional design choice feedback - using icons only for the channel listing makes it very hard to tell some channels apart. There are four nicolodeon channels as an example, and the individual icons are so small that you cant tell them apart.

I have also been trying to access Favourites in the new OS and it has disappeared as per the previous comments. This is most definitely a retrograde step and I would like to see them reinstated

Additional bug:

When using 'watch from start' on Channel 4 and fast forwarding through adverts, there were multiple times when I pressed play and it jumped to live instead of playing from where I had fast forwarded to.
